Life Cycle Assessment of Electronic Products
Measure and Reduce the Environmental Impact of your Products.
SHORT CERTIFICATION COURSE (2 days)
In light of environmental challenges, companies must design electronic products that are both high-performing and sustainable. Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is a standard method for evaluating environmental impacts at every stage of a product’s life cycle and guiding design choices toward greater sustainability.
This course will enable you to master the fundamentals of LCA, determine its objectives, and discover rigorous tools for promoting sustainability in electronics. You will work with the Ecoinvent database and Ecodesign Studio software. Self-directed learners will have the opportunity to use Brightway software.
Objectives
- Identify the conceptual foundations of LCA and its importance in the electronics sector.
- Determine the objectives of an LCA.
- Conduct an attribution-based LCA using an appropriate methodology and dedicated tools.
- Interpret the results of an LCA.
